Tasks included building out the full line and design strategy for each category to executing the majority of the design work for each request in an increasingly fast-growth environment

Additional design and development responsibilities included:

Creating initial mood boards, which included Ree Drummond’s personal vision for her brand, to convey design direction from scratch

Researching the market for current trends and techniques used in better level products

Pulling prints from the master library to determine the look of each product in all categories

Ensuring that each assortment carried a variety of looks, colorways and constructions at better level quality, such as patchwork pieced quilts, engineered prints embellished with embroidery or applique, comforters made from a range of fabrications, sheet sets with a variety embellishments such as ruffled hems & crochet trim applique, and more

Offering the customer a total room solution by ensuring strong coordination between quilts/comforters and accessories

Delegating design work to the Print & Pattern team and Associate Designers for assistance when available and overseeing their design progress

Mocking up shelf modulars to show how the collection is displayed, and to ensure the brand has a strong and cohesive in-store presence

Creating detailed tech packs for all approved designs and ensuring suppliers had complete understanding of sampling needs
